Freedom Boat Clubs Offers Virtual Boating at Jacksonville Boat Show

Freedom Boat Club is bringing virtual reality boating to the Jacksonville In-Water Boat Show, April 5 to 7.  The club’s 70-foot houseboat will be docked at Metropolitan Park Marina for the show.

“We are so excited to roll out this state-of-the-art way to experience freedom on the water,” said Lisa Almeida, co-owner of Freedom Boat Club Jacksonville. “We invite everyone to come aboard the houseboat, strap on a virtual reality headset and check out how much fun it is to be a Freedom Boat Club member.”

The Freedom Boat Club virtual reality will take people out on a virtual boat ride. The user can drive the boat like they are actually on board in local waterways. Visitors can also take a tour of each of the Freedom Boat Club boats including deck boats, bowriders, center consoles, pontoon boats, bay and flats boats. The virtual reality boating was created locally by Freedom Boat Club member Twenty20 Creative.

In addition to virtual reality boating, Freedom Boat Club will also be offering free rides on the Freedom Boat Hut, a floating tiki bar. Visitors can sign up for the free boat rides at the Freedom Boat Club tent. Freedom Boat Club is a supplier sponsor of the Jacksonville In-Water Boat Show.
