Kemah Boardwalk Marina Recertified as a Clean Marina

The Kemah Boardwalk Marina in Kemah, Texas, has been recertified as a Clean Marina under the Texas Clean Marina Program.

The voluntary program, managed by the Marina Association of Texas, recognizes marinas who show environmental responsibility by promoting clean activities, using best management practices, and meeting all regulatory requirements.

Amenities, services and policies at Kemah Boardwalk Marina that addressed environmental issues included recycling centers for oil and bilge water, used batteries, and aluminum cans; daily removal of debris from the harbor; a new pumpout; and close work with the Texas General Land Office to identify vessels accidentally discharging fuel into the marina’s basin.

Kemah is a sixty-acre facility on Galveston Bay offering 414 slips for boats up to 115 feet.
