U.S. Leaders Address American Boating Congress

The American Boating Congress (ABC) wrapped up last week with presentations from Administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Scott Pruitt, and U.S. Secretary of the Interior, Ryan Zinke. Pruitt addressed the need for more consumer outreach and education on E15, while Zinke discussed the importance of outdoor recreation to the nation’s economy and the role public-private partnerships can play in addressing the backlog of maintenance and need for improved access. Before Zinke closed, he announced the appointment of Bill Yeargin, CEO of Correct Craft to the “Made In America” advisory council for the Department of Interior. In this role, Yeargin will help shape strategy for outdoor recreation.

Other speakers at ABC included a keynote by Chris Wallace, host of Fox News Sunday, heads of the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis, National Association of Manufacturers, United States Coast Guard and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
